We went to Haiti on a mission relief trip to help the children and families after the earthquake.

The four-day trip consisted of visiting different communities, putting together camping tents for the families that didn’t have homes and were sleeping under sheets being held up by wooden sticks. We also passed out water, food, clothes, shoes, etc…

We visited orphanages, and when we got to the first orphanage the children sung a couple gospel songs for us. It was a sad time of the trip for me, seeing and watching the kids walk around on rocks and stones.Mattresses as thin as spiral notebook pads. After they welcomed us with song we passed out baby food, baby formula, diapers, tampons, water, nutritional cereal bars, and a lot more.

During our mission we were helping out a different community by passing out food and such, and we found out the President of Haiti had REQUESTED to meet us. So we went off our schedule to meet the President of Haiti. It was an honor of course being that I have been in the United States all 25 years of my life and not once have I met any of my own presidents.

For the most part, the trip was a great success. We got a lot done and the people of Haiti had a big ceremony for me, Vernon, James and his mother to thank us for everything that we got done while we were there.

Upcoming events:

David Clowney Foundation weekend, June 25-27, South Florida.

My trip to Ghana, July 10-16.

My Foundation and Abe Elam’s Foundation will host a car show, July 17, South Florida.
